Microsoft’s Minecraft Migration Meets A Mixed Response

Minecraft’s account migration to Microsoft is currently in progress, but some players aren’t entirely satisfied. Mojang claims that the move will improve security and give more security features. However, some accounts have been locked out. This is a required move.

The first time it was revealed was last month, the migration is primarily focused on security. After you make the switch, you’ll be able to utilize two factor authentication. As as of March 10, however you’ll have to transfer your account to keep playing Minecraft which has been a source of a bit of anger with certain players.

Docm77, one of the Minecraft creator of content, calls the account migration the “biggest mistake in the history of Minecraft” via Twitter. The reason is that if you have multiple accounts, you will be required to create a Microsoft account for each. This issue can lead to your Microsoft account being locked due to certain terms-of-service stipulations. This isn’t something that all Minecraft player has to deal with, but it can be an issue for creators of content or people who simply enjoy playing the game. They might need to create additional Microsoft accounts. When it comes to social media, there are numerous reports from players having issues making the jump.

You don’t have to migrate your account just yet. Find out how to do it here. It may not seem like a big deal to many players because of the popularity of Xbox Game Pass. Plussoc Many of us already have the Windows app installed so it doesn’t mean much to them that you can use it to launch the Minecraft Launcher in the event that they wish to.

The account migration is taking place prior to the Minecraft The Wild release, which is scheduled to release sometime in this year. For more information, check out the guide at this link.
